I am a registered social worker with the BC College of Social Workers, and have recently transitioned from work within Indigenous communities. I am a graduate from the University of Toronto Masters of Social Work in Indigenous Trauma and Resiliency.

I specialize in helping youth (14+) and adults address unresolved inner or outer conflict that may be manifesting in emotional pain. This can present in a variety of different symptoms and behaviours, and I believe that counselling is a collaborative experience that meets the client where they are at and values their unique goals and needs.

I have helped clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance use, and trauma. As well as with self-esteem, boundaries and achieving more healthy communication.

I practice from a foundation of trauma informed care, harm reduction perspectives, and anti-oppressive social justice frameworks. My therapeutic approach is of holistic wellness and healing, by acknowledging the inherent value in many forms of knowledge and world view. As well as, understanding and acknowledging the far reaching mental, physical, emotional and spiritual impacts that life’s challenges and unresolved trauma can have. Helping individuals who are healing from the effects of intergenerational grief, loss or the impacts of colonization is an area that I am personally connected to and motivated by.

I have also helped individuals walk through complex struggles with substance use and mental or emotional challenges, by way of client centred care and individualized treatment plans. I believe that a strengths-based approach is imperative in counselling, and I work to foster client empowerment and autonomy through the therapeutic relationship.
